Ivory Laser Lace – Melissa

Melissa is a beautiful “Laser” lace on a fine tulle ground. – this means that satin fabric is cut by laser into shapes and then embroidered on to the lace, giving it a three dimensional look.  

Flower spray motifs incorporating small amounts of silver filigree thread are stitched onto a floral fabric ground, together with embroidered flower buds. – it is a highly unusual but very effective combination.

The identical borders are 11 cm (4.5″)  in depth and have scalloped edges. The edging is embroidered and the shape is emphasized by use of silver filigree threads stitched onto a ribbon like fabric base. 

A very dainty design, Melissa is simple yet very pretty.
